“The overall lesson I’ve gotten from my experience with the car accident is that if you’re being motivated by love, then you shouldn’t second guess what you’re being prompted to do. There are a lot of people I know wanted to say something to me.

“It has made me realize that we go through things to help others. My wife’s mom died a couple years ago from alcoholism. I remember telling my wife that we’re going to have to use that knowledge again. We eventually did with a close friend of ours, and we probably will again. I think just in the same way that the Savior had to understand our pain through the Atonement, we have to go through some hard things.”
